About Us:

“As the chosen of God, then, the holy people whom he loves, you are to be clothed in heartfelt compassion, in generosity and humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with one another; forgive each other if one of you has a complaint against another. The Lord has forgiven you; now you must do the same. Over all these clothes, put on love, the perfect bond. And may the peace of Christ reign in your hearts, because it is for this that you were called together in one body. Always be thankful.

Let the Word of Christ, in all its richness, find a home with you. Teach each other, and advise each other, in all wisdom. With gratitude in your hearts sing psalms and hymns and inspired songs to God; and whatever you say or do, let it be in the name of the Lord Jesus, in thanksgiving to God the Father through him." Colossians 3:12-17 NJB

The Prayer Meeting is Central to Charismatic Prayer Community

The Prayer Meeting is our gathering point; it is our campfire bringing us together to stoke the fires of the Holy Spirit; it is our greenhouse providing a warm, fertile environment for growth; it is our gym providing a place to strengthen ourselves; it is our port in the storm; it is our strength, our growth, our community; it is our experience of Jesus in the Body of Christ.

“Our communities must be genuine schools of prayer.” Pope John Paul II

This short instructional discussion provides simple guidelines for those who would seek to initiate and build Charismatic Prayer Community. It is neither exhaustive nor detailed. Its intent is to serve as a catalyst and reminder of the basics of leadership in Charismatic Christian Community – with guidelines for the Core Team, the Prayer Meeting Leader, and the Prayer Meeting itself

“…stir into flame the gift of God that you have” 2 Timothy 1:6.

The mission of Lamb of God Charismatic Community:

To form disciples of Christ whose hearts are turned to God in worship and who are renewed and enlivened by the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit and the teachings of the Catholic Church. To be disciples radiating God’s light and love with lives given in obedience and service to our Lord Jesus and His Church.

Vision of Lamb of God Charismatic Community:

We proclaim Jesus Christ is Lord by the power of the Holy Spirit that transforms our lives to be His presence in our world and be disciples who faithfully and joyfully obey and serve God and His Church.

Here’s a little history about our community:

Our prayer group was founded on August 15, 2005 on the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Our first members began meeting at the home of our servant-leader, Ed Orillo, in Gilbert, AZ. Soon after we were blessed to have our meetings in the community hall of the St. Thomas Byzantine Catholic Church. In 2007,St. Anne Catholic Church of Gilbert, AZ recognized Lamb of God as the charismatic group for the parish.

By 2008, due to our growing size, our meetings were moved to the Gilbert Public Library. With continued growth in 2009, the community once again had to move its venue to its present location at the Gilbert Historical Museum at 10 S. Gilbert Rd., Gilbert, AZ. Lamb of God also actively serves the Diocese of Phoenix Catholic Renewal Ministries in its seminars and conventions.
